ROBERT J. ALLAN is an AV rated attorney with over 30 years of international legal experience. Mr. Allan is the founder of the USA China Law Group, an organization dedicated to providing high quality legal and strategic business advice to individuals, businesses and corporations looking to invest and do business in China.
In 2007, Mr. Allan co-founded AL NPL Partners, Inc., a fund management and investment advisory firm focused exclusively on investments in non-performing loans (“NPL”) in China.The investment strategy managed by AL NPL Partners Inc. has invested in NPL portfolios in China with several major international financial institutions.
Mr. Allan is responsible for the overall strategy and management of AL NPL Partners Inc.
Mr. Allan is also the exclusive North American representative for Alpha & Leader Group Limited, founded by Wesley Pan, the co-founder of AL NPL Partners Inc. Alpha & Leader Group Limited, its subsidiaries and affiliates provide professional services for, or related to, the NPL market in China from their offices in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai.
Mr. Allan works closely with Alpha & Leader Group Limited and its subsidiaries in China on advising international institutional investors on ways to invest in Non Performing Loan and Distressed Assets in China. Mr. Allan also advises companies on investment projects ranging from real estate development to creative joint ventures.
Mr. Allan is a member of the Asia Society, the Pacific Council on International Policy and an advisor to the 1127 Foundation.
Previously, Mr. Allan served as Chairman of the Board of Market China, Inc. an internet marketing company with years of experience advising US companies on how to establish and build a presence in China. The company was responsible for launching several campaigns for major U.S. Brands in China, including McDonalds.
Mr. Allan began his law career at the firm of Bull, Housser & Tupper LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia. After several years of practicing as a Barrister & Solicitor in British Columbia and Alberta, Mr. Allan moved to California.
